Register for tournament Tournament details Tournament rulesThis is an annual event, now in its 10th year. Starting at 11am with the registration of the Under 14 'Junior' teams, the event continues with free indoor activities and refreshments in the Hockey Clubhouse, a barbecue and outdoor Gladiator duelling. The winning football teams will be playing for the Riverside Community Cup (Juniors) and the James McMahon Cup (Seniors). Medals will also be awarded to the winners at a presentation ceremony. Manned by volunteers and wholly funded by Newbury YMCA, the event makes for a very friendly, community day.
The Crafts.
Indoor Activities - Areas will be set up for face-painting, stone-painting, hair-braiding and a colouring competition.
The Games Zone.
Classic arcade games, a spot of FIFA or fancy a race. Come and try all our game stations that’ll be on offer throughout the day.
The BBQ.
Who’s ready for some food? We’ll have a selection of burgers and hot dogs ready for everyone….. did we mention is was free?
The Tournaments.
The Under 14 (Junior) and Adult tournaments will both be played initially on a league basis with the leading teams progressing into a knock-out phase. Teams will be 6 a-side with 3 rolling subs, playing on astroturf.
